Practical Classics reveal 2025 charity restoration project ahead of NEC show
)
Editor Danny Hopkins and his editorial team will actually have two Fiat Spiders – a viable car and a donor car. Danny explains: “The parts car scrapper was donated by a former RAF airman after he realised it wouldn’t be good a viable project. The viable car hasn’t been started for 15 years but we’re hoping to change all that at the show.
“Given the donor car’s connection to the RAF, we are planning to use the restored car to do a charity run overseas to raise money for the Royal British Legion in their ongoing support for veterans. We also hope to have members of the legion joining us at the show.”
Visitors can follow the restoration’s progress in the PC Workshop, part of the Practical Classics World in Hall 5 where they can also find the finalists of the Restorer of the Year competition, along with familiar faces from the magazine’s Staff Car Sagas as the team bring their vehicles to the show.
This is also the location of the Your Shout Stage where we’ll have celebrity interviews, expert Q&As, and informative panels covering a wealth of topics around classic car ownership, restoration and maintenance as well as buying and selling.
