Dean Pickworth - 2001 BMW E46 325i Convertible

Dean always wanted an BMW E36 325i Cabrio in silver with grey leather interior so when he found this car for sale in 2007, he fell in love and had to buy it. His two sons have grown up driving around in this car.

“I managed to buy a Hardtop roof to match the colour and trim, which is a rare option due to the cost of these when new. I believe this makes the car look even better.”

The BMW was taken off the road, after a few years of ownership, due to Dean having to work away a lot, so he parked it in his mum’s garage, planning to start using it again when he had the time.

After many years of being off the road, in 2018 Dean’s son asked his dad if they could recommission the car, so they did - starting with new springs, shocks, coolant, brake fluid, engine oil and filter. This was all done by Dean and his son on the driveway.

“I put my son on the insurance and we both loved every minute of driving the BMW. So many people think this car is a brand new car, when it’s scary to think it is now 23 years old. it just looks so good on the road and I believe it looks better with age. This car really puts a smile on my face each time I drive it.”
