Nathan Mills - 1998 Peugeot 106 GTi
)
Nathan has owned this car since he was 17 years old.
The car has had only one previous owner from new, which is extremely rare for these models. It comes with an extensive history file, with thousands of pounds spent by the original owner and over £10,000 in bills accumulated by Nathan over the past two years.
Growing up, Nathan always loved 106s. After owning a couple of Citroën Saxos, he heard about this 106 for sale locally. When he went to see it, the car was too far gone—seriously rotten in all the common areas.
Weeks later, the owner contacted Nathan with a price he couldn’t refuse. He bought the car and began stripping it down. However, once it was a bare shell, he realized a full restoration was beyond his budget, so it sat in the corner of his workshop for seven years.
“When I finally had time to fix the car, my dad and I tackled the welding—rear jacking points, inner wings, sunroof, chassis legs, rear boot floor—the list felt endless,” Nathan explains. “We took it to a body shop, where I helped strip it to bare metal. That weekend, it was in primer, and a few weeks later, painted.”
Nathan sourced new or refurbished parts, ensuring factory-level detail with a few subtle personal touches.
“This has been a dream build—nine years in the making. Now, I’m looking forward to local shows and a European trip. This is its first show at the NEC. It’s definitely a keeper and will be enjoyed for years to come.”
